Economics Class Plays Stock Market

Mr. Eckman's Economics class at the Upper School
has joined a ten-week, statewide stock market competition that
will give students a hands-on education. The real-time game is a
program provided by smgwww.org, which allows imaginary trades
based on real stock prices. The students have $100,000 to
invest, and each group of students has a different strategy.
Some will develop a less risky portfolio and pick one or two
volatile stocks, while others want to gamble on the
riskiest stocks. Whose strategy will prove to be the soundest? The
competition runs through December 5th. Happy investing!
